Instant Domain Search

By Jason Drohn

There is a real nice tool over at instantdomainsearch.com which lets you search for potential domain names using ajax.  No more having to refresh, wait for the registrar, or try different varations just to come up with a winning combination.

All you do is start typing the first letter of your domain name, and it starts spitting back results.  It looks like it uses the register.com domain name database, which might be preferable depending on your registrar or choice.

The other one I use often and like quite a bit is PCnames.com.  The difference is it taps into domain name resellers, so if you want a domain name and it is registered, it shoots you to wherever the owner has the domain listed.
